Alun started Ascensis in the year 2000, primarily to cater for the food hygiene training needs of food businesses in and around London.
Since then, the services provided by Ascensis have expanded to include business consultancy for the food industry and unique expert food hygiene training for food safety professionals and others.
Alun has been a qualified UK Environmental Health Professional and a member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health for 16 years, and a Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner since 2005. As well as his business support experience, Alun has extensive experience working as an Environmental Health Officer for local authorities in London, Suffolk and South Wales.
Alun continues to work both as a specialist food safety EHO and business support consultant, allowing business clients to benefit from up-to-the-minute expert advice, training, support and audit. As your ‘critical friend’, Alun brings with him an invaluable insight into the enforcement regime, helping you avoid the pitfalls of enforcement activity and keep ahead of the competition.
